Trip, 2002 |
|
| My wife, Nicci, and I visited the southwest African country of Namibia
and the Western Cape region of South Africa from October 16th through November
12th, 2002. In Namibia our two-week itinerary included the red dunes of
the Namib desert, the German coastal resort town of Swakopmund and the
nearby Cape Seal reserve at Cape Cross on the Skeleton Coast, the dry,
mountainous wilderness of southern Damaraland and game viewing at Etosha
National Park, one of Africa's largest game preserves.
We then flew to Cape
Town, South Africa and spent two weeks visiting the city and surrounding
winelands and driving the famous Garden Route
along the coast east of Cape Town. I kept an electronic journal during
our trip which you will find below. I'm currently working on editing
the
2600+ photographs I took and I plan to start building galleries of
the best work shortly, so please check back often!
